TAN KOK SIANG

Managing Partner

Kok Siang is the managing director of the firm. Kok Siang graduated from the University of London in 1996  with an Honours Degree in Laws.


He worked for a number of years in compliance and internal audit in a notable financial institution before joining a mid-size law firm as a paralegal. He was admitted to the Supreme Court of Singapore as an advocate and solicitor in March 2011.


Having a strong background in finance and many years experience as a paralegal provides him with many different perspectives to legal practice enabling better client and file management, time management & evaluation and solutions for problems both within and beyond the law.


During the 10 years in practice he represented clients in contractual, leases & rental and employment disputes;

industrial accidents and other personal injury claims; civil matters; Probate &

Administration and Wills; and Mental Health Capacity Act as well as Lasting Power of Attorney matters. He has experience in trial litigations, interlocutory applications, mediation, alternative dispute resolution, Court dispute resolution and Ministry of Manpower matters.

FADLI FAWZI

Lawyer

Fadli Fawzi obtained his legal education from the Juris Doctor program at Singapore Management University. He also has a Bachelors and Masters of Social Science in Sociology from National University of Singapore.


Before entering the legal profession, he worked as a senior policy development officer in Islamic Religious Council of Singapore. He has also previously taught in local universities such as NUS and SIM (now SUSS) and worked in several local research institutions.


He brings his wide work experience to a broad area of practice ranging from civil, family, syariah and criminal law as well as corporate drafting and estate planning.

Notable Cases:

UMF v UMG and UMH [2018] SGFC 52

Successfully acted for parents in the custody application of their child who had been separated from them at an early age.

 [2019] SGHC 123
Successfully obtained judgment for construction worker in his Work Injury Compensation Act claim both at the tribunal and appeal stage.

NORAISAH HUSSIN

Lawyer

Noraisah graduated with a Bachelor of Law (Honours, Second Class Upper Division) degree from the University of Manchester in 2011.  She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Singapore in July 2013. 



Noraisah is in the practice of Insurance Litigation, having represented many insurance companies as well as many injured victims.  She deals with personal injury and property damage claims relating to motor insurance, workmen compensation insurance, contractors’ all risk policies and public liability insurance.  Of note, Noraisah has successfully defended a public transport company against a claim by the driver of a stationary vehicle which was collided into by a bus owned by the public transport company.  At trial, the claim by the driver of the stationary vehicle was dismissed with costs.  Noraisah has also assisted in a High Court suit for a claim made by a brain damaged student involved in a road traffic accident worth more than S$1 million.


Noraisah is also interested in the practice of Family Law, Estate and Probate matters, Wills, Syariah Law and Criminal Law.  She has assisted in a few criminal cases involving statutory rape and Road Traffic offences, including a driver who was charged with causing death by negligent driving and a 65-year old driver who was charged with causing grievous hurt by negligent driving.  Both drivers escaped custodial sentence and were fined instead.  In her way of giving back to the society, Noraisah assists the Legal Aid Bureau to, among others, represent Malay/Muslims in their Syariah divorce matters.


In her free time, Noraisah enjoys spending quality time with her family.  Noraisah is a member of the Law Society and the Singapore Academy of Law.

JEVAN LI

Lawyer

Jevan holds both a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor’s in Business Management from Singapore Management University, graduating with distinction from both degrees. He was on the Dean's List for a year and was on the championship winning team for the Oxford University organized Price Media Law Moot in 2016. He was called to the Singapore bar in 2017.

His practice includes work for small and medium enterprises and start-up companies, including civil and commercial dispute resolution, corporate drafting, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property. He also handles individual client needs, including the drafting of wills, deputyship applications under the Mental Capacity Act, probate, matrimonial law, personal injury, workmen's compensation and medical negligence matters.

Jevan trained at a mid-sized firm specialising in arbitration, commercial litigation, and medical negligence. He then joined another mid-sized firm where he gained experience in drafting of corporate agreements such as shareholders' agreements and civil litigation such as handling personal injury matters for defendant insurance companies. This involved representing clients at interlocutory applications and trial. He also handled divorce matters, achieving settlements for clients in his first year of practice. Most recently prior to joining the firm he practised at a mid-sized firm specializing in healthcare law where he defended healthcare institutions in medical negligence matters and had the opportunity to work with Senior Counsel.

Jevan’s knowledge of the law coupled with his background in business ensures clients will be working with a commercially aware lawyer who will take the time to understand their business before rendering any advice, drafting any document or representing them in any matter.
